Who we are
Chris Builds Dubai is operated by WH Digital L.L.C-FZ, Meydan Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Calm Kind Home is also a trading name of WH Digital L.L.C-FZ. For privacy enquiries, email hello@chrisbuildsdubai.com.
Information we may process
If you contact us, we may receive your name, email address and the details you choose to share. For the owner’s connected social accounts, our private analytics dashboard processes authorised account identifiers, profile information, post metadata and performance statistics. The website hosting provider may also process technical request information such as IP addresses and access logs under its own practices.
How information is used
We use information to respond to enquiries, manage collaborations, operate our website and provide authorised social-media analytics. We do not claim to sell personal data.
Social platforms and service providers
The analytics dashboard currently connects to YouTube and Meta (Facebook and Instagram); TikTok integration is being evaluated and is not currently connected. These platforms process data under their own privacy notices. The public website is hosted by Netlify. Emails sent to hello@chrisbuildsdubai.com are forwarded by ImprovMX, an email forwarding service, to our inbox. Our Calm Kind Home shop also uses Payhip, Stripe and MailerLite, as described in the Calm Kind Home section below.
Storage, retention and security
The public website is hosted on Netlify. The private social analytics dashboard is operated locally on the owner’s Windows computer, with authorised account credentials protected using Windows encryption. We retain analytics records for as long as reasonably needed to operate and evaluate the Chris Builds Dubai brand, subject to applicable law and platform requirements. There is currently no tested automated erasure workflow. Requests for deletion are handled by contacting hello@chrisbuildsdubai.com; we will assess each request, identify applicable records and backups, and explain the available deletion steps and any limitations. Revoking access to a social platform does not itself erase previously collected analytics.
Your choices and requests
You can request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or ask about withdrawal of authorisation, by contacting hello@chrisbuildsdubai.com. We will assess requests under applicable law and platform requirements. Revoking a platform connection may not automatically erase historical records.
Calm Kind Home
Calm Kind Home is a trading name of WH Digital L.L.C-FZ, Meydan Grandstand, 6th Floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Meydan Free Zone licence 2648964.01). We make printable parenting resources for families with children aged 5 to 11. This section explains how we handle personal information when you download a free printable, buy a product, join our email list or email us. The rest of this policy also applies. What we collect
- Downloads and orders: your email address, your name if you give it, what you downloaded or bought, the price, the date, and the country and billing details collected at checkout.
- Our email list: your email address, your first name if you give it, when you joined, and whether you open or click our emails.
- Emails you send us: your email address and whatever you choose to write.
Children: we don't collect information about children. Our products and emails are for parents and carers. Please don't send us your child's name, health information or other details about them.
Services we use
- Payhip runs our checkout and delivers downloads, including the free ticklist. For buyers in the UK and EU, Payhip acts as the reseller and handles VAT. It also handles US and Canadian sales tax. Payhip shares buyer details with us so we can support your order. See Payhip's privacy policy.
- Stripe processes payments. We never see or store your full card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- MailerLite stores our email list and sends our emails. See MailerLite's privacy policy.
- ImprovMX, an email forwarding service, forwards messages sent to hello@chrisbuildsdubai.com to our inbox.
- Netlify hosts this website and may process technical information such as IP addresses in its logs.
Payhip and Stripe also process your information for their own purposes, under their own privacy policies.
Our emails
Our download and checkout pages are run by Payhip. If you are in the UK or EU, you'll see an unticked box, "Send me product updates and offers via email", and we only add you to our email list if you tick it. If you are anywhere else, downloading from us adds you to our email list automatically, and the free ticklist page tells you this before you download.
People who download the free Morning & Bedtime Ticklist join our MailerLite group "Calm Kind Home – Free Ticklist" and get a welcome series of four emails: a welcome with tips, a bedtime tip, an email about our US$9 Morning & Bedtime Routine Toolkit, and a short feedback question. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time in one click or by emailing us. If you reply to an email, your reply comes to hello@chrisbuildsdubai.com.
Why we use your information
- To deliver downloads and orders, and to help with them: needed to provide what you asked for.
- To handle refunds and keep tax and accounting records: needed to meet our legal obligations.
- To send our emails: in the UK and EU, your consent (the box you tick), which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing. Elsewhere, our legitimate interest in sending a few emails related to what you downloaded, which we tell you about before you download. You can unsubscribe in one click at any time.
- To reply to your messages: our legitimate interest in answering you.
How long we keep it
- Order and refund records: for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and refund purposes.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details. After you unsubscribe, we keep your email address marked as unsubscribed so that we don't email you again.
- Emails you send us: for as long as we need them to deal with your message and keep our business records.
Payhip and Stripe keep their own records under their own policies.
Where it is processed
These services may process your information outside the country where you live, including in the United Kingdom, the European Union and the United States.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. To ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email hello@chrisbuildsdubai.com. We aim to reply within 2 business days, and we may need to confirm your identity. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under data protection law, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
